Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Cristina by Philip Sutton. The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 966.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Sutton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers From Crown House in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 8,832.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cristina von Philip Sutton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 966,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Sutton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers From Crown House im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 8.832,40).
