The work Birds by Philip Sutton was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 446.25 (€ 498.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Sutton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers From Crown House in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 8,832.40).

Die Arbeit Birds von Philip Sutton wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 446,25 (€ 498,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Sutton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers From Crown House im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 8.832,40).
