Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philip Pearlstein could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Nude, Female Model, Seated changed hands for USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,622.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Pearlstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model With Empire State Building in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 130,791.65).
