A collection of five views of the Visit of the Civil and Military authorities and National Guards of Granville and d' Avranches to the Isle of Jersey, 8th October 1850 including: Arrival and disembarkation; Parade in carriage and reception of the visitors by the Constable Mr Simon, the Reverend M. Le Hardy and other authorities of the Parish of St Peter; The banquet on 9th October presided over by Lieutenant-Colonel Sullivan, commander of the 5th Regiment, Royal Jersey Militia; Lunch given by the Temperance Society under the Presidency of J. M. Nicklin, 10th October; and Presentation of a flag by Lieutenant-Colonel Sullivan of the 5th Regiment, Royal Jersey Militia to the commander of the National Guard of Granville M. Valesqui and the departure of the visitors on the 11th October
all signed with artist's monogram and dated '1850'

The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View taken from under South Hill, St Helier, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 57,650.00 (€ 68,891.66).
