Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby, which included the work The brig Homely of Jersey unloading off Le Banc de Paspebiac, Quebec, Le Bouthillier shed on the wharf and the Catholic Church on the hill beyond, Canada by Philip John Ouless. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,193.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00.
