Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Jersey brig Hamon outward bound from the Channel Islands with an inbound packet steamer off her starboard bow by Philip John Ouless was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,057.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip John Ouless achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View taken from under South Hill, St Helier, Jersey in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 57,650.00 (€ 68,891.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Jersey brig Hamon outward bound from the Channel Islands with an inbound packet steamer off her starboard bow von Philip John Ouless wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Marine Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
