Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Large Popcorn by Philip Colbert was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,730.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Philip Colbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) in December last year with an auction result of GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Large Popcorn von Philip Colbert wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.730,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Colbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78).
