It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,730.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Philip Colbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) in December last year with an auction result of GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Large Popcorn von Philip Colbert wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.730,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%.
