Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Country Rock, from 100 Years Ago by Peter Doig. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,326.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Doig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swamped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 39,862,500.00 (€ 35,317,179.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Country Rock, from 100 Years Ago von Peter Doig zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.326,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Doig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swamped im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.862.500,00 (€ 35.317.179,06).
