Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Victorian & Melbourne Centenary Celebrations; Australia/The Tallest Trees in the British Empire 2 by Percy Trompf for USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,289.38). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,600.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Trompf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australia, Kangaroo Paws, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,136.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Victorian & Melbourne Centenary Celebrations; Australia/The Tallest Trees in the British Empire 2 von Percy Trompf für USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.289,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.600,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Trompf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australia, Kangaroo Paws beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.136,97) versteigert wurde.
