Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Vintage Posters, which included the work Australia, Marysville, Victoria by Percy Trompf. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,459.25). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Trompf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australia, Kangaroo Paws, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,136.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australia, Marysville, Victoria von Percy Trompf zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.459,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Trompf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australia, Kangaroo Paws beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.136,97) versteigert wurde.
