Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Figure with Two Bouquets, 1964 by Paul Wonner for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,264.21). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Wonner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Cup in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 324,000.00 (€ 240,838.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figure with Two Bouquets, 1964 von Paul Wonner für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.264,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Wonner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Cup im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 324.000,00 (€ 240.838,47).
