Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Walkway by Paul Winstanley. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,190.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Winstanley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior (Boodles), which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 26,567.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walkway von Paul Winstanley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.190,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Winstanley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior (Boodles) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 26.567,22) versteigert wurde.
