Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Winstanley could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Hub changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,077.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Winstanley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior (Boodles), which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 26,567.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Winstanley konnte im März 2014 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Hub für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.077,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Winstanley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior (Boodles) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 26.567,22) versteigert wurde.
