Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape 4 by Paul Winstanley was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,680.00 (€ 8,847.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Winstanley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior (Boodles), which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 26,567.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape 4 von Paul Winstanley kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.680,00 (€ 8.847,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Winstanley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior (Boodles) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 26.567,22) versteigert wurde.
