Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Morrison could be acquired at Phillips in London in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Hilum, from Door Cycle changed hands for GBP 2,540.00 (€ 4,251.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Protoplasm in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Morrison konnte im Januar 2024 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Hilum, from Door Cycle für GBP 2.540,00 (€ 4.251,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Morrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Protoplasm im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36).
