Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Phillips in London held the auction Edition Schellmann: Fifty Are Better Than One, which included the work Hilum, from Door Cycle by Paul Morrison. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,431.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Protoplasm in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Edition Schellmann: Fifty Are Better Than One durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hilum, from Door Cycle von Paul Morrison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.431,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Morrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Protoplasm im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36).
