Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Henry could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection auction, the work The Storm changed hands for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,097.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Henry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Lake, Connemara in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 730,010.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Henry konnte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection wechselte die Arbeit The Storm für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.097,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Henry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Lake, Connemara im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 730.010,33).
