Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Great Blasket Island, Kerry by Paul Henry. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,600.00 (€ 88,761.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountains and Lake, Connemara in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 730,010.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Great Blasket Island, Kerry von Paul Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.600,00 (€ 88.761,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountains and Lake, Connemara im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 730.010,33).
