This artwork by Paul Henry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work West of Ireland Landscape sold for GBP 327,600.00 (€ 384,633.22) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Henry; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mountains and Lake, Connemara sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 730,010.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Henry erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit West of Ireland Landscape für GBP 327.600,00 (€ 384.633,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Henry; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mountains and Lake, Connemara im Juli 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 730.010,33).
