Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Feeley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2009. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 29,904.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Feeley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ACRUX, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley erzielte im September 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 43.750,00 (€ 29.904,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Feeley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ACRUX beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55) versteigert wurde.
