This artwork by Paul Feeley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2009. In the Contemporary auction, the work Cheleb sold for USD 26,250.00 (€ 19,794.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Feeley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ACRUX in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley erzielte im März 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Cheleb für USD 26.250,00 (€ 19.794,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Feeley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ACRUX im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55).
