In December 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work A nude with still life by Otto van Rees. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,031.50 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto van Rees achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature morte - Still life in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 29,875.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A nude with still life von Otto van Rees zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.031,50 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto van Rees erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature morte - Still life im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.875,00.
