Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch Conversation by Otto van Rees was sold in the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. The price achieved of GBP 9,063.00 (€ 11,394.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto van Rees - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nature morte - Still life, which sold at auction in June 2003 for EUR 29,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch Conversation von Otto van Rees wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.063,00 (€ 11.394,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto van Rees mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nature morte - Still life beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für EUR 29.875,00 versteigert wurde.
