This artwork by Otto van Rees achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2008. In the Topographical Observations: Picture your world auction, the work A view of Gulpen sold for EUR 5,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Otto van Rees have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature morte - Still life in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 29,875.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Otto van Rees erzielte im Februar 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world wurde die Arbeit A view of Gulpen für EUR 5.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto van Rees auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nature morte - Still life im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.875,00.
