Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Odinakachi Okoroafor could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Chidiogo changed hands for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,863.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Odinakachi Okoroafor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spinster in April last year with an auction result of GBP 15,750.00 (€ 18,781.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Odinakachi Okoroafor konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Chidiogo für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.863,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Odinakachi Okoroafor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spinster im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.750,00 (€ 18.781,32).
