Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Church Hat II by Odinakachi Okoroafor was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,733.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Odinakachi Okoroafor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spinster, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 15,750.00 (€ 18,781.32).

Die Arbeit Church Hat II von Odinakachi Okoroafor wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.733,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
