Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow Hair by Odinakachi Okoroafor was sold in the Wired: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,132.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Odinakachi Okoroafor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spinster, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 15,750.00 (€ 18,781.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yellow Hair von Odinakachi Okoroafor wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Wired: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.132,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Odinakachi Okoroafor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spinster beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 15.750,00 (€ 18.781,32) versteigert wurde.
