Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Socks by Odinakachi Okoroafor was auctioned at Phillips in London in December last year. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,112.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Odinakachi Okoroafor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spinster, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 15,750.00 (€ 18,781.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue Socks von Odinakachi Okoroafor kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.112,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Odinakachi Okoroafor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spinster beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 15.750,00 (€ 18.781,32) versteigert wurde.
