Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Hepple could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures and Prints auction, the work Shrimping changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 175.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Hepple achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nothing Like Sand And Water in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,879.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Hepple konnte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Prints wechselte die Arbeit Shrimping für GBP 120,00 (€ 175,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Hepple erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nothing Like Sand And Water im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.879,73).
