In September 2002 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work The Queen Mother by Norman Hepple. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,547.96), 49% above the upper estimate. Other works by Norman Hepple have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,879.73) in October 2004 for the work Nothing Like Sand And Water.
