Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Norman Bluhm. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,734.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Norman Bluhm zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.734,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
