The work Les Teinturières (Dyers At Work) by Nguyen Phan Chanh was sold in the 20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 4,375,000.00 (€ 462,471.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Phan Chanh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work), which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 10,930,000.00 (€ 1,152,878.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Les Teinturières (Dyers At Work) von Nguyen Phan Chanh wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 4.375.000,00 (€ 462.471,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Phan Chanh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 10.930.000,00 (€ 1.152.878,17) versteigert wurde.
