Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La femme dans la rizière (The Woman in the Rice Field) by Nguyen Phan Chanh was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 246,460.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Nguyen Phan Chanh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 10,930,000.00 (€ 1,152,878.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La femme dans la rizière (The Woman in the Rice Field) von Nguyen Phan Chanh kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 246.460,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nguyen Phan Chanh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.930.000,00 (€ 1.152.878,17).
