Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jeune Fille Au Perroquet (Young Girl With Parrot) by Nguyen Phan Chanh was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,485,000.00 (€ 398,857.30), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Phan Chanh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work), which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 10,930,000.00 (€ 1,152,878.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jeune Fille Au Perroquet (Young Girl With Parrot) von Nguyen Phan Chanh wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.485.000,00 (€ 398.857,30) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Phan Chanh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 10.930.000,00 (€ 1.152.878,17) versteigert wurde.
