Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Le Jeu Des Cases Gagnantes (Playing 'Go') by Nguyen Phan Chanh was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 3,485,000.00 (€ 398,857.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Phan Chanh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work), which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 10,930,000.00 (€ 1,152,878.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le Jeu Des Cases Gagnantes (Playing 'Go') von Nguyen Phan Chanh kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 3.485.000,00 (€ 398.857,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Phan Chanh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 10.930.000,00 (€ 1.152.878,17) versteigert wurde.
