The work Exorcism by Nguyen Phan Chanh was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,395.21), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nguyen Phan Chanh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 10,930,000.00 (€ 1,152,878.17).

Die Arbeit Exorcism von Nguyen Phan Chanh wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.395,21) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Phan Chanh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.930.000,00 (€ 1.152.878,17).
