Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work I. Sotheby'S - Fine American Indian Art Ii. Sotheby'S - Impressionist & Modern Art Iii. Sotheby'S - Fine And Rare Wines And Vintage Port Iv. Sotheby'S Important Sporting Art by Nelson Leirner for GBP 875.00 (€ 981.07). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Leirner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homenagem a Fontana I in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 359,000.00 (€ 263,854.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit I. Sotheby'S - Fine American Indian Art Ii. Sotheby'S - Impressionist & Modern Art Iii. Sotheby'S - Fine And Rare Wines And Vintage Port Iv. Sotheby'S Important Sporting Art von Nelson Leirner im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 875,00 (€ 981,07) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Leirner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homenagem a Fontana I im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 359.000,00 (€ 263.854,18).
