The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,663.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Leirner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homenagem a Fontana I in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 359,000.00 (€ 263,854.18).

Die Arbeit Romaria von Nelson Leirner kam im November 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.663,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Leirner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homenagem a Fontana I im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 359.000,00 (€ 263.854,18).
