Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included this untitled work by Ned Vena. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,349.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ned Vena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 91,871.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ned Vena zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.349,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ned Vena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 91.871,23).
