Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Linear Construction in Space No. 2 by Naum Gabo. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Naum Gabo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Linear Construction in Space No. 2, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 515,250.00 (€ 597,653.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 von Naum Gabo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 210.119,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Naum Gabo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 515.250,00 (€ 597.653,05) versteigert wurde.
