In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Discoveries, which included this untitled work by Moshe Castel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,790.59), 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Moshe Castel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hallelujah in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 65,885.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Discoveries durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Moshe Castel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 10.790,59) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Moshe Castel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hallelujah im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 65.885,80).
