The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,476.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Moshe Castel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hallelujah in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 65,885.80).

Die Arbeit Safed Synagogue von Moshe Castel kam im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.476,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Moshe Castel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hallelujah im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 65.885,80).
