Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl With Fruit by Moshe Castel was sold in the Israeli and International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,949.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moshe Castel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hallelujah in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 65,885.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girl With Fruit von Moshe Castel wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Israeli and International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.949,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Moshe Castel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hallelujah im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 65.885,80).
