Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design, which included the work 'Amsterdam Iii' by Mona Kuhn. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,440.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mona Kuhn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Merle, 2003, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,128.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Amsterdam Iii' von Mona Kuhn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.440,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mona Kuhn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Merle, 2003 beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.128,95) versteigert wurde.
