This artwork by Mona Kuhn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Fatale sold for GBP 12,700.00 (€ 14,716.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mona Kuhn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Merle, 2003 sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,128.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mona Kuhn erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Fatale für GBP 12.700,00 (€ 14.716,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mona Kuhn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Merle, 2003 im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.128,95).
