Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Reflecting, 2006 by Mona Kuhn was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,356.66), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mona Kuhn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Merle, 2003, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,128.95).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Reflecting, 2006 von Mona Kuhn kam im April 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.356,66) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mona Kuhn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Merle, 2003 beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.128,95) versteigert wurde.
