Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mona Kuhn could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Flower changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,642.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Mona Kuhn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Merle, 2003 in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,128.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mona Kuhn konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Flower für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.642,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mona Kuhn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Merle, 2003 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.128,95).
