The work Standing Nude by Mochtar Apin was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,149.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mochtar Apin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Memecah (Triptych) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 88,259.44).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Standing Nude von Mochtar Apin wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.149,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mochtar Apin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Memecah (Triptych) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 88.259,44).
