Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Sitting Nude by Mochtar Apin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,873.26), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mochtar Apin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Memecah (Triptych) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 88,259.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sitting Nude von Mochtar Apin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.873,26) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mochtar Apin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Memecah (Triptych) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 88.259,44).
