The work Pemandangan Dengan Lipatan-Lipatan Kertas (Landscape with Origami) by Mochtar Apin was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,108.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Mochtar Apin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Memecah (Triptych) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 88,259.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pemandangan Dengan Lipatan-Lipatan Kertas (Landscape with Origami) von Mochtar Apin wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.108,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mochtar Apin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Memecah (Triptych) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 88.259,44).
